Biography
Dave Dalley is a visual effects supervisor at Industrial Light & Magic (ILM). He began his ILM career in Singapore around 2010, initially serving as a compositing supervisor and lead. Over time, he assumed more senior supervisory roles, including Associate Visual Effects Supervisor. Among his credits is Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens (2015) as a visual effects supervisor for ILM Singapore. In 2023, he was Visual Effects Supervisor on The Creator (2023) for ILM. He was also Associate Visual Effects Supervisor for Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One (2023). Dalley has contributed to ILM’s global VFX pipelines, working across studios including Singapore, Sydney, London, and others, in coordinating extensive visual effects work for large-scale films. For his work on The Creator (2023), Dalley and his colleagues, Keith Anthony-Brown, Danielle Legovich, Trevor Hazel, and James Clyne, were nominated for the Hollywood Professional Association Award in 2024 for Outstanding Visual Effects in a Live Action Feature.
