Biography

Uberto Rapisardi is an Italian filmmaker working at the intersection of fiction and documentary. Originally trained in painting and art history in Florence, he worked in the fashion industry in Milan and Paris before spending a decade in London as a member of The Veils, recording and touring internationally, performing with them in Twin Peaks: The Return (2017, dir. David Lynch). Since 2018, he has directed a series of experimental 16mm works (PALAZZO BRUCIATO, 2018) and collaborated with artist Dione Roach in Cameroon on NA Y’A LUCKY (2020) and the musical documentary QUATRE MURS (later 'JAIL TIME RECORDS', post-production), filmed inside Douala’s central prison and inspired by the Jail Time Records initiative. His first documentary feature VACÍO LUMINOSO, a meta-portrait of filmmaker Oliver Laxe during the making of SIRĀT, was selected for a special screening at Visions du Réel (2026).
