Edward Guo is a Chinese writer, director, and businessman born on June 6, 1983, in Zigong, Sichuan, China. He gained fame as a young adult writer with bestsellers like Ice Fantasy and the Tiny Times trilogy. Guo transitioned into filmmaking in the 2010s, directing movies such as Tiny Times and The Yin-Yang Master. He is known for his commercial success and polarizing critical reception. He is known to work under different aliases, some of which include Gu Xiaosheng for My Journey to You, Zhang Yimin for Fangs of Fortune, and Lu Jue for Veil of Shadows.
