KONG manages to bribe the laboratory staff to alter the DNA test result, thus successfully tricking LEUNG into believing that KONG is HIN’s natural father. The test result has come as a real shock to LEUNG. LAM doubts the accuracy of the test, and having investigated the matter further, she gets to discover it is KONG who has bribed the laboratory staff to make up a false report. LAM decides to bring the case to the police. LEUNG feels a deep sense of regret when he knows that LAM has given up on her dream for his own sake.
